Teacher Training Fall 2019

Teachers gathered at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge for a RiSC workshop, led by Don Riepe of American Littoral Society and RiSC curriculum designer Andrew Zimmermann. Teachers learned about NYC's local coastal ecology and biodiversity and how intact marshes can protect coastal communities from flooding. They also did activities from the RiSC curriculum.
